sit down with your books, start the timer, then study. as soon as your mind starts to wander off or when you get up to do something not related to study, stop the timer. what's your concentration span? for me it varies - from as little as 2 mins to 40 mins.

i concentrate so much better at night. these days i always study till really late, and wake up at like 1pm, all bloated and grumpy. not very good.

hmm i can make myself study for a very long time. But when its not really needed, i get off track in about half an hour.

most the time after about 40 mintues my mind wonders, ill play with my pen for a minute then go hard for another hour or so

Whenever you can't concentrate anymore, you should take a break, then get back to studying. Then you should be able to concentrate again. You shouldn't force yourself to study when you can't concentrate; you probably won't get anything done. I found that studying at night was much easier for me. :)

depends on the subject.

Maths - up to 2-3 hours
English - 3.14 seconds

Yeah, I agree. Maths is okay study for because you are continuously doing questions. Englsih on the other hand...you just fall to sleep looking at that...especially if you do Gwen Harwood.

3.14 seconds? jesus youre probably got the longest attention span in the state for english, i got about 0.2 seconds attention span on english

I have an endless concentration span for chemistry.

Except when it comes to past papers. :confused:

what can i say, im just really raelly focused on english.

Attention span for mathematics: About 2 hours
Attention span for SDD: about 30 minutes
Attention span for chemistry: About 1 hour
Attention span for English: Varies from 10 minutes to about 2 hours.
Attention span for SOR1: 30 seconds

Whenever I feel my concentration waning, I scare myself to death by reminding myself how little time is left till the big exams. It wakes me right up!

economics - could go for days
physics - 2-3minutes
english - hour or two
modern - hour or two
maths - i take breaks when i cant get a question :p

English adv: as long as an essay/ story takes to get done
Eng ext: depends, an hour or so
English ext: (creativity takes time people!)
Maths:0.0000001 secs
Legal: 2-3 Hours
Eco: 2 hours

Overall: I'm on this forum so what do you expect :p
