Hey i just thought id start this thread to help all those, like myself, feel better about their UAI. Please post your marks and UAI here if it is below 90, because personally, seeing all those 99.xx UAIs really puts me off telling people i got 77.70. Is anybody else out there????

Eng Adv - 76 4
Gen Maths - 81 5
Mod Hist - 81 5
Physics - 78 4
Hospitality - 77 4

Personally I was annoyed at my english marks, its normally my best subject lol

Yeah sames, my UAI got dragged down something shocking, not that I give a flying fuck. I don't even wanna go to uni, there's too much stress put on going straight to uni. It's like, people think that's all you can do? I mean, I'm already in uni, but that wasn't by marks or anything. But fucking hell... IT'S ONLY ONE SET OF RESULTS!

Glad someone else is on the same wave length

noel, I couldn't agree more! People throw their hearts and souls into these exams, all for a set of numbers at the end, which really means squat.

pussy:

Std Eng: 66
Mathematics: 83
Mathematics Ext1: 27 (/50)
Physics: 83
IPT: 83
SDD: 83

That gave me a UAI of 78.05.
I'm disappointed with Eng and Ext Maths, but I'm totally over it.

i think way too much emphasis is put on the hsc - like someone else said, it IS only one set of results. it's not the most important thing, and it doesn't make you any less of an awesome person if you don't get what you hoped for.

advanced english - 88
maths - 65 (i find this odd considering i failed every exam in the last 2 years)
biology - 92
food tech - 90
indonesian continuers - 78
hospitality - 80
= 89.75

it's not 90, but i'm still really happy. don't be upset guys, it's really only one little number - there's millions of other pathways to get to what you want, and in a couple of years you won't even remember what you got. i promise.

Most people who get UAI's below 90 don't actually post them, so everything is skewed upwards. The average is apparently 93.

well just incase there is any one out there I can make feel better... I worked incredibly hard the whole year and missed out on so much of my young life for a UAI that got scaled down by 10 points (Sams says so)...... I got 65.20.... Yes I want to kill myself. Either that or repeat year 12 and not sleep this time.

so there you have it

NSW UAI = 65.20

Repeat, move to armadale(My EAS points might get me into arts at armadale) or suiside.

not sure which one I will go for yet, dont realy want to kill myself... but another year at school which might skrew me over again after doing well in assessments but not being able to finnish atleast one section in every hsc exam(except Japanese.... which was scaled down like you wouldent believe) because I am a slow writer...... I got high 70's for every exam and low - high 80's for every assessment mark.... still that added up to 65.20... thats the facts...

pray for me if you want...

Trying to figure out what to do next,

-Benjamin

awww benny u'll be ok!!
I got
ancient history - 86
biology - 79
business studies - 82
adv eng - 82
ext eng - 39/50
ext 2 eng - 48/50 (yay)
legal studies - 86
UAI:88.55

Im a bit disapointed because I needed 90 for the course I wanted to do, and I bombed out in my english exams which would have given me the extra marks I needed. But thats life, its enough to do arts at ANU which is my second choice.

2004 UAI= 68.15!

I dont understand how i can get a uai in the 60's when all of my marks were in the 70's. Unfair.

I think I can safely say I got the worst mark on this board then lol - my hsc marks were all late 60s to late 70s and I got a uai in the 50s, I'm fucked, thanks to scaling and it kinda really is a bitch for me to be compared to everyone else in the state considering I did home school so all my work is by myself whereas everyone else had teachers and peers to help them a little along the way.. my parents are proud of me, I'm utterly dissapointed, but mother dearest is on the warpath to getting me into uni any way she can.
