Is anyone else in all of NSW doing the Conflict in the Pacific elective?

What txtbooks/sources are you learning from (we're relying soley on the HTA publication, feeling a little iffy right now)

We are doing it too but won't start it for another 3-4 weeks. Geez if your doing that now you must be close to finishing the topic.

Well we are doing the same as you I think:

Core: WW1
National: Germany
Personality: Albert Speer
and also Conflict in the Pacific

We will have finished WW1, Germany, Albert Speer....mid term 2 and then we will begin on Conflict on Pacific till end of term. Then it's all going to be extension and polishing our work with practice. How about you?

That's cool - no idea how they all fit together... we did some stuff on Japanese imperalism (Meiji Constitution, etc) in the preliminary course, so starting with the Pacific seemed to make sense.

Yeah, for our personality we do Leni, kinda looking forward to that actually!

Haha, and as for what happens when (if) we finish it all.. our teacher keeps telling us we have to hurry, we have to hurry, because last year's group only had a week of revision!!! Extension and practice... sigh, if only!! Will try and do some outta school, but school time would b useful!

Well in the preliminary we did Bismark and the Unification of Germany and also the The Meiji Restoration. Now WW1 relates to WW2 and Germany and Japan relate to WW2 and we also got background on Germany and Japan in prelim. Speer is part of Germany too. So it all fits in perfectly.

But the course is pretty interesting so even though there is an enormous workload especially with our 9 textbooks on modern history I can still bear it. Good to know someone has similar topics so we can help each other out.
