hi all.....

now i dont usually ask too many questions....however this time i have hit the wall metaphorically, when it came to ideas for my essay. As you can probably tell the main idea behind the essay is conflict and the nature of conflict......NOW all i need from you people is just to express your opinion to this question To what extent is the means of resolution, rather than the conflice itself, the main concearn in society today?

you can agree or disagree to the quote......i just need your opinions so that i can somehow incorporate them to my essay.

im gonna assume you meant conflict and concern...

And i would disagree the means of resolution is of less concern today especially politically, Too many conflicts mainly associated with the united states government are puting BILLIONS of lives at risk and everyone should strive to prevent these "mishaps" rather then resolve the problem as it is too difficult and would be non existant had people tryed harder to prevent them.

soo to sum my ramblimgs up for ya PREVENTION ie(conflict is more important cos it can be prevented)

i disagree. i think the means of resolution is the main concern for society today, because as sam04u gave as an example, the problems with the US and everything is a big issue for society. however, the conflict itself is often debatable (ie people blame different things/people for the situation the world is in) however a resolution would ultimately fix all the conflict, regardless of who started it, who it concerns etc.

i dont know if this makes sense, it makes sense in my head but i don't know if it came out right.. if you need clarification tell me i'll explain further

Mechanisms such as ADR are in place in courts to solve the conflict (thus resoloution), rather then dwelling on the conflict itself.

ADR techniques include primarily mediation, but may also include concilliation and the questionable arbitration.
