As far as it goes i dont understand whats the differenece between dvd+r/rw dvd-r/rw dvd ram and stuff
They are all so confusing...
Why did they develop dvd+r if dvd-r would do the job?
Is there any advantages of dvd+r cause they cost alot
And what is a dvd-ram disc?

And DVD RAM is more like a hard drive instead of a CD/DVD, you can burn without formatting and it usually comes in a hard cartridge.

Although there are facts out there, I think the market is so flooded with propaganda from supporters of the two formats that theres alot of garbage as well. I'd rather not comment.

Google and see what you believe.

For most purposes they are the same.

If you are using it for a DVD-recorder (ie the ones under your tv) DVD+R/RW is preferable since you can insert new scenes anywhere.

for computer, DVD+R/RW is supposed to support mount ranier technology, however not many drives make use of this.

then again DVD-R/RW is supposed to be more compatible.

overall, practically there isn't much difference between + and -

however, -RAM is much more durable but slower to burn. It can only be read in drives that can burn -RAM
