I've been revising for the exam, but I've encountered a formula on the reference sheet that I forgot about.

Like, I know what it means, but I don't know in what context I would be required to use this formula.

Could someone please explain its purpose to me????? 😭

i knew this was on the formula sheet and still don't know it's purpose for its rearrangement.

it's a rearrangement of, the one you should actually remember instead

it helps you differentiate expotential functions where the base is not e - so you just use the chain rule. i use that way instead of the formula they use on the sheet cause it makes it easier for me to understand

the formula sheet is good for differentiation. It's better than pretty much every other formula sheet in every other state cause they don't get it in terms of f(x) but x. using chain rule manually is retarded and i doubt u will get a band 6 in math advanced if u actually do that
