Hi, are the books that show up in connectbooks, prescribe ( needed for the unit ), or recommended because people keep saying to wait until we get the outline to be sure.

Can we be sure of the books there ?

The books that show up are prescribed.

People generally wait because they want to see how much they'll be needing their textbook. (Ie. If your only assessments are a mid-semester and final exam, you may not need the textbook as much as somebody who has weekly assignments that need textbook referral.)

In cases where you may not use it often, people will just borrow the book from the library and use it when they need it.

Ooh, should we wait? I was planning on waiting because the UWS site recommend it until we got the list but I don't be the only without any books lmao.

Hi, It is best to contact your unit coordinator for advice on which textbooks are prescribed and which ones are merely recommended, as the ones which are displayed on Connect Books usually include the recommended texts.
