Copy rights for music (1 Viewer)

hey ppl..........
Does anyone know wt to do with the copy rights used in video/animation?
I'm doing an animation.........which is nearly finished, except for the music and sum touching up works
well~ I thought u just need to put the name and artist in the credits...

but well~......
do u actually need to write to them and ask for permisison?

hmm :rolleyes: it seems you have answered the question yourself
so either you acknowledge it in the credits - like the way they do in mainstream films
or write the information out and 'attach' it to your work

ya....I know...I asked this b4.....
but then well~...
my teacher was saying..."they are really strict abt the copey right matters, the best way is to make the music urself....."
so that kinda freaks me out....
