yeah but all my lecturers have said they don't like anymore than 75 word paragraphs and if its more than 40 words indent it and stuff...

so technically you can but some lecturers dont like chunky quotes

Yes. You need to know however that anything more than 60 words usually requires the paragraph to be indented (on both sides). It is also a good idea to reduce the font to 10point.
