A few people have mentioned to me that doing a correspondence course get taken into UAI consideration, possibly increasing the overall assessment mark? Does anyone know if this is true, or if you have to apply or something, etc. ?

HSC via correspondence scales exactly the same way as the schools and TAFEs, however if you do a large amount of subjects (at least 4 units I think - something like that) then you can apply for EAS. However this only applies if it wasn't your choosing to do that exact subject at school ie someone who's school does not offer any languages and someone wants to do 2u german and 3u french through open high school they are eligible but if their school offered say general maths and they decided to study correspondence anyway they would not be entitled to it.
