hi dudes

im guessing a fair few of you are l33t CS players

i dont play it but my brother does

ever since i installed wireless (hav a centrino chip and a netgear wireless router) on the laptop, he cant play CS on the net, only condition zero on the cd

if anyone would b able 2 giv me sum advice as to how i can fix this it'd b gr8

i think you have to go into the router settings and allow an ip address to bind to your brothers comp and the port on which the game works

Yes.. i think the old counter-strike doesn't support wireless LAN, it only work through those ethernet cables. I think even some newer games doesn't support wireless LAN connection.
(Mods: Shouldn't this be moved to the "games" section??)

This doesnt sound like a fix to your prob, but i know it is for many who use wireless connection (lan) whilst gaming.

Go to control panel > admin tools > services > "disable wireless zero configuration" > set it to manual.

What this does is basically search for a new router/access point every 30secs or so, and creates enormous lag.
