The transistor worked at speeds up to 210 GHz, while using only a milliamp of current: commercial communication devices running at 100 GHz are expected in the next two years, much sooner than expected

The unfortunate part is, that although that doesn't directly relate to the speed of our processors, we'll still get increments in a few ghz at a time, to squeeze money out of the consumer and keep high end processors for business and large corporations to start off with.

I wonder if the transistors generate any / more heat than conventional ones.

The best technology always goes to companies here, we don't have the infrastructure to deal with our needs, I think. Look at South Korea, their Internet access owns.. why can't we have better speeds ;D
