i did my welfare presentation today, the one that the co-ordinater said that it was near impossible for me to even get a credit with only '15' hours done (actually it was 6 of the agency observation) i got a credit!!!!!!....its out of 20 though, so what would a credit be out of 20?? about 14??? i think it was a high credit though, like coz i got 3 ticks in the 'well done' column (the 2nd top column) and one in the satisfactory (third top column) so yeah

If my maths is correct - out of 20 a credit would be between 13 and 14.8.

it may be that credits are easy in intro subjects. it all depends on the difficulty, you see new undergrads have to take time to adapt so they are more lenient, if you show good or true intentions or effort tehn tehyll give you a credit.
e.g. im doing a 2nd yr subject and we had to choose 1 out of 3 q's to answwer with 1 question for those who want a pass while the others for those aiming higher.
my friend ddi the pass one and he got a pass becasue the task was simple, my question was significantly harder and thus i needed more research and time to write so i was rewarded accordingly.

me too, next sem is all level 300, im gonna die...and from what i heard, these subjects are gonna kill.
and i only have 1 level 100 unit left for electives...
i dont mind hard subjects if its hard for others and i can do good in them...

I've got 2 level 300 and 2 level 200, not looking forward to it at all

I only did 5 level 100 subjects in first year, 2 this year, that leaves me with up to 3 subjects for final year. But I hate level 100 subjects, sometimes they require more work than level 200 subjects. I like level 200 subjects. Something inbetween is good

really? i feel that it depends on the course. i did computning and maths units in my first semester of frist year and they were easy peasy japaneasy compared to management. the level 200's im doing vary as well, some is easy, some is overwhelmingly difficult to do.
im really scared of 300's..makes me seem so old, plus becasue im in marketing principles it reinforces that view too...

Maybe its only my intro to earth sciences subject, cause its science based Tourism subjects are piss easy. Rock up to a lecture, sleep the whole time, and you can still have a credit in the subject *sighes* and that really explains my gpa of 4.5 *rollseyes*

Level 300 = lots and lots of work + almost half way through my degree, and I still have no bloody idea on what I want to do maybe I'll just do something else afterwards

indecisiveness eh....thats better than having your options closed i.e. me. im stuck in this degree and it look slike im gonna have to do another one for 1 more year which i cant stand to think of...more uni.
well which subject in tourism interests you the most, then do that for a living...e.g.. rocks, pursue some rock finding job, not that you are interested in rocks, just saying...

bahaha ... rocks ... on our excursion on saturday, the stupid lecturer made the coach driver stop on the side of the great western highway just so we could have a look at rocks! I thought we were all gonna get killed!!

I don't mind uni, atleast it keeps me occupied.

I want to do like tourism planning, specifically eco-tourism planning. But I dunno.
I should have gone to tafe and done an advanced diploma

what does that involve? planning for like excursions to like teh forest?
what about enviro planning? like looking at strategies to keep the enviro clean etc.?

yeah i also contemplated tafe...the hours and proximity, no bloody trains needed!!! only thing was the time factor and cash...

Well, basically designing and planning (kinda like architecture) for sustainable tourism. I should have done environmental planning this semester - why the hell did I do urban geography!!!

Where they teach tourism at tafe, is only 5 minutes from my house. Beats the 3 hour train trips! Actually, I wanted to do uni and tafe this semester, but I changed my mind - I figured I'd be nuts to do both at once
