As i believe many of you would have also done, in year 11 3u english we studied the Eyre Affair, and now we are revisting it as an example of Crime fiction. In class we were given a list of questions, and i have managed to answer all bar this one:
Q) What is the crime at the heart of the novel? Where does the element of mystery reside? How active can the responder be in solving these things?

I have gotten stuck on this one as there are obviously many crimes which occur in the novel, however none of them contain the element of mystery; well at least not for the audience as we are all aware of Hades' intentions. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
