Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users log on or off.

You want to disable the welcome screen.

This explains how to change the size of the paging file with some helpful graphics.

"Go to the control panel and to system. Then select the Advanced tab and then Performance options. Click change at the bottom half of that box. In there, you can select the drive for the virtual memory file, the minimum allocated, and the maximum allocated."

you don't need that for a normal computer.

why do you want that?

it can be activated through a register setting, which will need to be googled

I don't use Ctrl + Alt + Del to view that "Windows Task Manager".
I use Ctrl + Shift + Escape which always work straight away even if you're in a Novell network.
