I've got one of those mini-straightner things and have been trying to curl my hair with it. The hairdresser used it on my hair for the formal last year and it looked really nice like the curls were just right. ive tried doing it and it looks like shit cause im clearly not doing it properly. does anyone know how to curl hair properly using them??

what type of hair straightener do you have?

i used to curl my hair with the GHD when i had long hair - they have a thingy on their website to show you how.. i'll find it for you --> you'll need to practice though!

edit:
ok go to http://www.ghdhair.com/index.php?c=au
click on "trends" then the submenu will come up, click on looks, then it has the "step by step techniques" underneath the picture --> then pick what kind of curls you want :)

my sister used our GHD on my hair too - at first they were so curly, i looked like a poodle, but after it'd dropped a little, i really started to like it (i'd never had curly hair before). amazing what you can do with that thing :p

go to the GHD site skeeta posted, i'm pretty sure that's where my sis found out how to do it

Ooo, I tried doing this after seeing this thread and it was so easy. I don't have a GHD, just a regular Vidal Sassoon but it works pretty well and looks like the soft waves demo on the site. Just have to spin the straightener down the piece of hair and it's all bouncy. Looked abit ridiculous on me but after it calmed down, like Bubz said, it looks alright :)
