I cant seem to be able to get it right, my hair ends up with a crimped look, or bent at the ends, anyone worked it out?

lol i sort of have, its really hard to explain though. you wind your hair around the iron like its a curling tong, and than unravel it similar to how you would with a curling tong, but sort of bring it straight down through the middle of the curl. it took me AGES to perfect it and i still dont always get it right
