Hey guys, Comparing the Matrix calculator to the one used this year,. How accurate do you think the Matrix one is for this year's? Would the actual atar be higher or lower than the matrix for this year?

BTW i hope everyone got their course. If not, dont despair. It's not over yet

It's hard to say really, we wont know until tomorrow. Generally, the calculators are pretty accurate and their accuracy improves with higher marks. But they shouldnt be totally relied upon.

If I did... I'd be a 99 LOL
My estimate is 98.4-98.5 (I tried 3 calcs, 2 with 98.4 and one with 98.5). I dunno if I'd really get that... I was actually expecting something like 94

When I tried dux it didn't give me enough boxes for my subjects
I did: matrix, talent 100 and atarcalculator.com.au

Something seems to be off with atarcalculator.com.au. The estimates it is giving seem to be way to low.

I'm not sure. Let's hope Matrix is better and that the actual HSC 2012 is also better than Matrix lol

atarcalculator.com.au gave me a higher estimate than DUX college and is on par with matrix

I've had estimates ranging from 93.05 on Matrix to 98.55 on Dux, so they're certainly not all accurate.

I think they're being modest with their estimates this year or they have just played with the subject scaling more :/

The calculators seem to be doing crazy things this year, the disparity is unusual. It might be glitches due to the huge amount of strain placed on them. There is a huge difference mark wise between a 93 and 98 so for them to be indicating a difference that large suggests to me that they must not be working properly.

Most accurate ATAR Calculators

Now that we have our HSC marks, what are the best calculators to use?
