DigitalStar isn't bad. Price-wise and if you're a customer after a business machine, Dell can do it real cheap when they have their free-screen upgrade, memory upgrade, hard disk upgrade promotions on. I managed to configure a nice Dell PM 750 Centrino, 1GB RAM, 15.4in' WXGA+, 80GB HD, battery upgrade, spare AC, bluetooth system for $1,600 the other day. If anyone can beat that, then please tell me because I'm also in the market for a notebook.

There is no internal laptop 16x DVD writer that I am aware of. Any difference between 16x and 8x should be minimal to be of any concern.

A laptop is a notebook, although certain places define them with different size and weight requirements but there is no universal definition of the difference between the two.

If used as a laptop the amount of heat produced could burn you.

Not to mention the recent studies which suggests that notebooks used on the lap decreases sperm count. Mwahahaha.
