Are we allowed to dedicate works?

I realise that this may cause my identity to be revealed if I'm not careful enough, but I feel confident that nobody will recognise me by this small allusion to my life.

And yeah, it's kind of personal.

So to the HSC markers it will be irrelevant to my story.

But to me it is important.

I would love to be able to include it, but if I can't...

unfortunately, everything you put in your major work is marked on its ability to contribute to the finished product. Like the syllabus says something about "pictures will not be marked for their artistic merit, but their overall contribution to the major work." I am guessing it would be the same for a dedication... not completely necessary but is nice all the same.

who is going to know that you have dedicated it anyway?... only the markers have to see it. you could print off another copy with the dedication and it can be that copy you show people?

On the topic of pictures, who has graphics in their story?

I have a couple to give it that corporate feel.

I don't care who sees it. Even people very close to me wouldn't understand it anyway. It's the principle that counts. Again the reason behind it is quite personal.

It's a shame I can't put it in.

Thank you for your help though!
