Hey exactly how do you do a desk check?? Do you have to draw up a table to display your results? And if so what colums do you put on the table??

You put the following headings @ the bare minimum

| Variable Name | Value | Expected Value |
| | | |
| | | |

and fill them in as you go along

Hi all,

Well, when I do a desk check, I list all of the variables across the top (ie. one per column), plus an extra column for any outputs made by PRINT statements etc.
Then, in the variable columns I put the value of each variable, starting a new line for each loop through the algorithm. The result is fairly clear and concise.

I do desk checks like the Heinemann textbook does.

i.e.

| Variable Name | Values |

Except, what about the Independent paper desk check ? Those vertical columns were confusing !
