hey,
our class got a new teacher at the beginning of this year who admits that he has no idea about what we should write in regards to the effectiveness of the law. he taught us straight from the text book, which uses asylum seekers as an example of a world order issue, but this is considered a human rights issue by HSC markers, and our class agrees we don't want to write about it if we are going to be marked down. if anyone has a teacher that has given them another option or if you have any information that could help us in any way it would be appreciated. please :)

our class is also doing world order as an option.. the issue of asylum seekers is relevant as long as you link it to case studies and UN intervention-- usiing public criticism to sway australia's treatment of asylum seekers. you should read up on UN conventions on asylum seekers and australian federal govt's policies-- use LIAC.. quite useful on int law etc.... you could try reading up in State library because their LIAC is quite decent and theres always a person in tehre to help you!
