Is this chapter really necessary to study for the exams? because IMO it just regurgitates(sp?) the content from the other chapters. and in the past papers i've seen it hasnt specified any questions on peoples software projects. so is it reall necessary?

Theres no telling what could be in the exam...who knows? Maybe this year they'll ask questions relating to your experience in developing a software solution.

If you feel confident enough with the contents of this chapter, then go ahead and skip it when you study - thats purely your choice if you already think the material is covered elsewhere.

My understanding of this chapter is that it applies the theory learnt from other chapters to scenarios so that you will see how it works - theres no harm in practising your theory with scenarios; its well known SDD is largely scenario based.
