Development of the Athenian Empire (1 Viewer)

Currently writing an essay on the development of the Athenian Empire, and there are a few things that I'm getting confused about.
The main thing is finding the difference between the Hellenic and Delian leagues, as I really can;t see how they differ.
Also and info regarding the contributions of Themistocles, Aristides, Ephialtes, Kimon and Pericles would be welcomed.
