Not 100% sure ... but all diagrams must be drawn in pencil.

yep draw all diagrams in pencil (that's what we did and that's what it says and that's what my teacher said who is an hsc marker)

i dropped biology coz i found it hard
i did learn one thing but!
ALWAYS DO YOUR BIO DIAGRAMS IN PENCIL
the teacher kept saying that

definitely, i agree. you have to use pencil, so then you can rub out if you make a mistake or whatever. but yeah, like they have said, use pen to label

teachers always recommend you do all diagrams and graphs in pencil beacause its easier to correct. i reckon its looks more professional.
But you can you use pens to do labelling and for titles, etc.. Its the same for most subjects not just biology

It says use black or blue pen for most of the exam, but draw diagrams in pencil.

Follow the instructions on the front of the exam paper.. Draw all diagrams in pencil (unless otherwise told so) or something like that..

so,
Write answers in black pen(i reckon looks betta than blue), draw all diagrams in pencil, and use a erase and a frigging ruler when appropriate

yeah and always use a ruler as well .. ruler and pencil and make your lines clear.. like dont have 3 or 4 lines to make a curved shape .. rub out the lines and make it distinct and clear shape once you have the picture drawn correctly
