What is actually the difference between both these types of engineers? From my understanding they are very similar bordering identical.

1. Anyways, what does structural engineers do that is different to civil engineers?

2. Are structural engineers in the field(on sites) more/less/as much as civil engineers?

3. When applying for a civil engineer job, can structural engineers apply as well, and the other way around?

4. Which type of engineer has better job opportunity?

5. What can a structural engineer do that a civil cant, and what can civil do that structural cant?

Overall what I’m asking is what differentiates the 2 types of engineers(they seem to be so similar) and the advantages/disadvantages of both!

cheers
