Use the fact that the derivative of root x is 1 over (2rootx)

differentiate root (7x)

answer says root 7 over 2 root x and I am wondering how to get there...i can get upto 1 over 2 root 7x

N/A
Well, if r(x)' = 1/2r(x)
r(7x)' = r7*rx'
= r7* 1/2r(x)
= r7/2r(x)

Treat r7 as a constant.
r = root

Basically you split up the square root using this rule:

√(ab) =√a . √b

d/dx(√(7x)) =d/dx(√7 .√x) now you can take the √7 out as its a constant
=√7 .d/dx(√x)
=√7/2√x

basically as aerath did
