you know business studies has a bad UAI scaling as a subject

anyway i was just playing around with SAM (putting all different combinations of marks). i put in a 80% for BST and 65% for phy.a nd guess wat

physic still get counted as 2U out of my best 10 units
and BST gets left out

See, i was thinking that if i could just focus on BST and let Physics slip(since im not very good at it).BST is gona be in my best 10U.

now im not so sure because i dont want do bad in PHY and it ends up in my UAI contribution.

so do i just study both as hard for these 2 subjects?

This will only happen when your Business Studies mark ends up being worse than your Physics mark (after scaling). Would you want the lower Business Studies mark to count instead?

Ideally, you want to do well in both. Forget the technicalities and aim for that end. :)

yea i guess your are right

but i was thinking u know, if i could save that extra time.

in terms of subject scaling. how much better is physics than business studies?

Business studies scales really bad. I suggest you to drop it and focus on physics.

Say if you get 85 in Business, and you get 75 in Physics, physics would probably still count. So why don't you spent more time and increase your physics mark to a band 5 :)

This is an extraordinarily bad example, because it implies that it is harder to get 85 in Business Studies than it is to get 75 in Physics.

You cannot compare aligned marks between courses.
