heya,
I've been fiddling with these programs and noticed that for 2002 and 2003,
The same marks i've been putting in have large UAI differences.
eg.

for the year 2003 the scores of

IPT - 90
SDD - 90
Physics - 85
Maths - 85
English Adv - 80

approximate value in SAM gives: 91.9
approximate value in JUAI gives: 89.75

Further tweaking of marks
will mean the lower the marks the larger the difference between approximations.

Why is this?
Don't they both use the data given to us on this site.

With 90 in everything (for me)

SAM: 97.45
JUAI: 96.7

anyway, 2 uai points isn't too bad.

SAM is based on 2003 data, wheras JUAISeek is based on 2004 (correct me if I'm wrong).

So JUAISeek tends to give lower UAIs.

Yes but I used 2003 for the years on both.

There technically shouldn't be a "drop" in the UAI at all.

As for the minor differences. SAM and JUAIseek interpret the data at UAC slightly differently. There is also some tweeking involved.

Also, for 2002, 2003 I didn't use UAC data for some parts, I used data I collected myself. (I didn't know this data was avaliable on the UAC and wasted alot of time, grrr...)
