Hip hop master DJ Shadow returns to Australia in July for a stunning set of shows to highlight his upcoming new album, "The Outsider", due for a late July release.

As well as the ground-breaking beats and innovative video for which he's renowned, Shadow's live set will feature vocalist/MC's, Lateef Daumont and Chris James.

Joining Shadow in Sydney for what will be the block-rocking hip-hop double bill of the year is pioneering consciousness rapper/actor, Mos Def.

yeah i know, it doesn't seem worth it, i mean well what am i saying its MOS DEF...DJ shadow im a moderate fan of, i really dont like his latest offering though, he done a remix of it with mos too..

I would be more willing to go if it was just a mos def solo concert as, if i were to go, i would be going just for him, and since its DJ shadow FEATURING Mos def, im not sure how much we will get from mos. My mate isn't familiar with DJ shadow so if im like 'yo yo homie fork out 80 bucks to come see mos def' and then DJ shadow ends up just mixing with mos coming in for like 4 songs...then thats a bit of a rip.

i understand why it's pretty high though, dj shadow is very popular with the trip-hop heads.
