Do Options in a subjects really change your HSC mark? (1 Viewer)

Hey

Say, for instance, Communications in Biology and Speeches in English are said to be lower scaling options than Hamlet in English and Genetics in Biology. Is that true??

Not really, 'scaling' changes every year depending on who is doing that option.

I guess to some extent, if a particular option have a high proportion of HSC students studying it, it will be harder to 'stand out' from the crowd, not saying that it is impossible to stand out. but since in most instances you don't have a choice in what option you choose to study, so just do your best and leave everything to determine the rest.
