I think it depends on the kind of sex you're about to have. The lights are nice off if you start off with them off..like, you have foreplay with the lights off-you dont just say "hang on a minute while I turn the lights off!". I find lights off is nice because you're other senses are inhibited which makes touch much more stronger. But lights are nice on when you're having kinky sex (which helps so you can see what you're doing-like bubz said).

yeah when the lights are off, you rely on touch rather than sight, which always feels incredible - like when you close your eyes when they kiss you or you're just stroking their skin blindly in the cinemas so i guess lights off is great for slow, loving sex
