I hear that people on the New Start Allowance and Youth Allowance are under the gun and are struggling to make ends meet. I believe the Centrelink benefits system is being kept too low to provide real incentive for people to enter the work force. Gillard is pretty much the Iron Lady of Australian politics and has little interest in the welfare of the unemployed and students receiving income support. Tony Abbott is even worse than Julia Gillard and wants tougher welfare to work laws.
