I wouldnt say it is, I was averaging 93% internal and then i got a nice surprise once a real external test ie. the trials came :uhhuh:

This subject is weird, you can get a whole bunch of questions right out of left field, but then equally you can get a bunch of straight forwards ones. Quite often you dont get questions where you get completely 0 for it, but it is likely you will lose small marks here and there and if youre not careful these can add up. If i were to give one piece of advice for the exam: make sure you look at every single page to make sure there arent some questions to do on pages that you have assumed you can skip.

most the subject is easy (ie. the theory such as pseudocode, diagrammatic representation, social and ethical issues) , but there are very hard concepts you have to master such as search and sorts, I was averaging 80s in SDD in everything, and in my half yearly i got a nice surprise of 50% (well technically it was 70% because i couldnt do last section i came 30min late and missed out 20 out of 70 marks)

so when im studying for it, i make sure i put everything in depth, its difficult to sometimes connect the subject together, you can in some parts very easily

i recommend you do mind maps, dont forget SDD has a large syllabus t ostudy off

i agree with that totally. There is so much insiginificant stuff that can be tested on. You don't really realise it.

the SDD syllabus is too big for them to test you on everything so they'll test you on a small bit but random so you really have to know everything incase they don't, unlike some subjects where you need the whole course to understand small sections

anyone know where i can find an explanation of working arrays in pseudo code because atm i have nfi.
Quite frustrating and its really going to let me down, i'm good at the reading theory stuff but bad at the technical stuff.

The course is so broad, and yet so little will be tested in the end - but you don't know what, and that's the killer. There's SO much info to know, yet last years test was relatively straightforward and tested not that much content.

Best advice is just to be knowledgable on everything really, not much else you can do.

i swear SDD long response and shrt response questions are so much easier than the multiple choice, in exams i always get full marks for the shrt and long respons and i lose marks here and there but mostly via MC fudges me up cause it confuses me
