nope. recommended or assumed is often just adv.
when you choose your major in economics - there's econometrics which is more 'mathy' if you do enjoy maths. however i know quite a lot of people who have just done adv and chosen econometrics so there's really no barrier. just depends on how hard you'll work during the degree
