Is love merely a biological bonding driven by the urge to 'survive' or is there more to it? If not, what is romantic love?

Is it just a religious or philosophical construct?

Love is an overwhelming feeling. There are many forms of love...eg, motherly love, partner love, love for something etc.

That explained nothing lol. How does feeling something make it exist?

How do you prove love exists?
You can't, have have to experience love for yourself before you can believe it

How does that prove love exists? You can feel and experience faith in God, does that prove his existance?

How do you feel love?
Makes you feel high, and you get a weird feeling inside, warmth

How do you know that's love? You could be sick, had too much sugar, be manic?

The Does God Exist thread is more of a philosophical thread, and is important enough to remain in NCAP because it is a huge social issue, encompassing ideas such as religious ideals, tolerance and how we live in general. You might argue the same about love, but then, it doesn't seem to affect us in the same sense as religion does.

umop 3pisdn is right about it's existence. It was created in order to organise NCAP. Justifying homosexuality/abortion/other issues with God disorganised everything. These debates are moved over into the Does God Exist Thread (and rather successfully too, without any moderator interference), and I would like to have it stay that way.

But a better comment for me to make is that there is very little dispute over whether love exists, and the question does not necessarily affect us day to day.

Love is -supposed- to be a feeling. If you get that feeling, it's love.

And the basis of God's existence is faith, a feeling of intimacy and love with the 'creator'. That is why you can compare something that is supposed to be a feeling with the existence of God as the existence to most is based on a feeling.
It's probably easier to prove the existence of faith than the existence of love.
