I am thinking of putting a few domestic full paying courses but i am not sure if my parents can pay for the FULL 3 years of my course if it is full fee paying, my parents said that they can pay for 1 year full fee and the rest being HECS... is that possible?

Would i need to get specific grades to meet the requirement and apply again in UAC?

Has anyone done this before, if so, what uni and what was the process?

Thanks, any news will be appreciated.

little-rat-boi: yes but only if u get marks that qualify u to take a HECS place once u apply for a transfer via UAC the following yrs

powerhouse: prolly not.. but check with the uni.. as they normally have DFEE places available.. unless it comprimises the course

it's a risky game to play, to pay full fee and HOPE you get a hecs place the following year.
What happens if you don't? Do you drop out and do something else or continue to pay fullfee?

i say do another course on hecs and try to transfer into hecs

on the site it says this

"Most Commonwealth supported students can either:

pay their student contribution amount up-front and receive a 20% HECS-HELP discount"

how about FULL-FEE paying students

we pay the full fee upfront.. do we get 20% discount LOL??

so lost at the moment

You don't pay full-fee up front. That's why you apply for it.

You apply for as much as you need from $0-the cost of the unit(s). If you can afford to pay full-fee FEE-HELP up front it's best if you don't apply for it.
