Any other people here in to drama or speech and drama? I've almost got my teachers in drama (I would have had it last year if I hadn't failed the theory by a couple of marks, but it was during my HSC!)...

Anyone know of any good youth drama groups in Syd??? I feel out of it, I need to get back in a group or something!!!

Do you have to be particularly experienced to attend those courses?

I think they have some for people that aren't super experienced..... I have heard the short courses aren't really brilliant though, but I might give one a go some day...

Does no one do their own research these days? Look on the internet, do a yellow/white pages/sensis/google search. There are plenty out there, it depends on what you're into.

Yeh, i do drama and my friends have done NIDA courses and they say they're pretty good. (3day ones i think) And no u dont' have to be experienced unless it specifies you have to audition for it (the breakfast club for example requires an audition).

But i recommend ATYP cos i hear it's heaps better, but there are also people who say it sucks, but just go to the website?:)

Are there any theatre/drama groups in your uni which u can join?

PS: how's the communications degree in UTS? I'm interested in doing media & communications but probably not specialising in journalism cos i'm not a good writer haha, but would u recommend UTS to others?

The reason I am asking is because I want to hear opinions on different places, the phone book doesn't tell one much about the quality of a drama class....

Thanks for you suggestions guys, I'm a bit strapped for cash though at the moment so I might have to put my plans on hold :(

I'm just bumping this up in case anyone has some fresh insight. I am looking more for community theatre groups etc, and google hasn't really been able to help me at all. Anyone got any suggestions?

I'm too broke to afford courses at Nida or ATYP.... they are so expensive.

I have my Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama (teacher) now, I passed the exam.... but I am feeling creatively unfulfilled and want to get involved in a community drama group or something.
