Just curious...But what's wrong with Harts?
everyone buys from Harts so the chances of turning up to your formal with other people wearing the same thing increases 10 fold.

Thanks, froggy_chik87, that helps a lot, I'll be sure to check them out! If anyone else has any other ideas, even if they're not in Chatswood, please fell free to post.

i've never been here, but i'm certainly going to check it out this year, but barbies fashion warehouse also has alot of dresses, but for very cheap prices! my mates have been there and say its great, and that they have a large range in sizes! their details are:

Barbies Fashion Warehouse
Rear 393 Sydney Rd Balgowlah NSW 2093
ph: (02) 9948 3803

its about a 20-30 min drive depending on where you live. But i'd reccommend you try it out, if your willing to drive! otherwise, i'm sure you can catch lyk a L88 or L80 or something lyk that from neutral bay... but i'm not too sure!

hope that helps too

Everything.

What style are you looking at? What price range?

If you have no idea, i'd recommend looking in Myer and DJs, you'll get a decent mix of brands and you can try out different styles - as well as all shoes/bags/whatnot being there.

If you've got lots of $$$, check out all the specialist boutiques in Chats Chase.

Stay away from Harts and Sheike.

omg, i tried on this really hot dress at sheike today. $39.95, blue floaty material with a sorta leopard print (didn't look at it too closely, or was it just some kinda rough pattern), with a halter neck (is that what it's called? the dress is suspended by a string which you tie behind your neck), above knee length. it's not very formal but the SA jazzed it up with a really nice necklace (which costs exactly the same price as the dress..haha) friends kept telling me to get it, even if i don't wear it to the formal i can still wear it out clubbing or something.

Id go to Harts.
I bought my Year 10 formal dress there and also got my Year 12 one there. My Year 10 was wasnt overly flashy and stuff, people had similar styles but nuthing was exactly the same as mine...(maybe coz Im the only one who bought their dress from Harts?)
my one for this year is not a dress as such but rather very flowey (?) black skirt made from satin and a hot pink halter neck top, that looks a lot like an accordian...so its great Ill be able to wear the top after!
