I always write about subjective or structural fram for the main essay, jst wondering how you fit duchamp into either, preferably subjective though.

talk about the Dada movenmt and how the Subject Matter was completly apposed to other art peridos.. Use his work 'the Fountain' (of memory) and say how subjectivly he wanted no emational attachment and that it was his aim to eliminate that link of feelings...

In terms of the subjective frame, you could also draw attention on the fact that Duchamp antithesised the mainstream of art by producing "ready-made" art. In which instillations such as the urinal "Fountain" were said to have a subjective meaning behind it...In a way he introduced, contemporary artmaking practice...
