I got an early offer from UWS college. which i think is great..however.. I wonder if i should take it or just do bachelors.

What are the pros and cons of bachelor vs diploma?
What is the difference between hex debt?
Do both bachelor and diploma start the same time?

I don't know too much about this. Help is higly appreciated!

If you can get into a normal course there is not much point in doing a diploma. A diploma at a place like UWS College is not going to be cheap, but it wont take as long as a bachelor degree - but the who idea of them is (mostly) for people who did not gain entry into UWS normally to be able to transfer over after finishing a diploma. You haven't even told us what course you want to do or what kind of jobs you hope to get in the future so it's hard to really give pros and cons, but really i don't think a diploma is what you want.

If you didn't apply for UWS College or anything, i'd say it's for actual UWS. Didn't they tell you what course the offer was for - that should be enough to tell.

I'm so confused. Does yours tell you to enrol at parramatta on the 3rd as well then? And say that it must be your first preference by that date :s

@Lola - My assumption would be that your letter from UWS would have some mention of the course you have been offered.

The diploma is equivalent to the first year of the degree

see the information at http://www.uwscollege.edu.au/course/local/diplomas

so the hecs debt would be equivalent to the hecs debt for your first year at UWS.

start date for UWSCollege can be found at

It probably depends on your ATAR as to whether you get a place at UWS or you are being offered an alternative pathway via UWSCollege.

Check out the UWSCollege site

http://www.uwscollege.edu.au/

The diploma may be exactly what he/she wants

http://www.uwscollege.edu.au/about/study_at_uwsc

The diploma is equivalent to the first year of UWS.

Fees http://www.uwscollege.edu.au/fees/course_fees/2013_diploma_program_fees

Domestic students enrolled in the Diploma Program are eligible for HECS-HELP. - same as those doing first year at UWS
