ECON110 and STAT 170 (1 Viewer)

By far it was harder than yesterday's stat170

time was a mjaor factor in the test

some "WTF is this question" in the MC

I wouldnt call them essays more like answering question, it wasnt even in essay formate, i just did paragraphs that answered the questions.......

Graphs were rushed but legible, some simple mistakes in retrospect but hopefullt i will get through well enough....


STAT170 was much better, even though endless hypthesis testing...there were still some questions which give u "WTF is this"?

but overall it was like the assignments apart from the few trick questions and hard ones here and there

it was way way way easier than stat171....fukn stat171 i hope i get my Cr so i neva have to c taht old bastard and that irritating bitch eva again

econ mc was fukd up i had no time to calculate so i guesses my way thru i really could not care, long answers worth 70 marks neway so i did most of that....im hoping for P or better but shit i dunno

if evry1 foiund it hard then marks will generally b low, so tehyll scale it

there is a bit of scaling, i'd say about 5 to 10% more.. (unlike some actuarial units where it goes up by more than 20%). i think comp115 goes down a fair bit.

dun worry, its over anyway.

lets just hope my acst units all get a plus 20% boost... from 50 to 70%.

btw, this is all mere speculation.

comp scales down, so if you like get 102% in the final, you'll get mid-90s... but as for passing.. they're not going to scale your 60% down to 40%, if that's what you're worried about.

math300 is the easiest (and funnest (sp?)) unit, so its like ten times easier than any actuarial unit (with the exception of acst101 which is high-school maths, and acst201 cos its not for actuaries).

the other math 300 level units are harder, especially 337 and 339.

actually, conceptually, some of the maths is harder than actuarial.. but you never get tested at such a high level (unless you're lecturer is out to get you)

ty.. acst3xy are scary. i hope i get my exemptions.. else i dunno what im gonna do.

acst211 "is" the hardest unit in first year (it's much easier once you've done units like stat272, acst399, math235, math237.. but they're all 2nd or 3rd year units). its hard, cos you dunno enough stats or maths.. (so if you do it a second time round.. in 2nd year, it should be easier.. altho, this isnt advisable =p)

math133 gets a few people every year.
