Hey guys,

just asking whether the case study can be asked in only an extended response format or in the extended response and short answer questions?

any help is greatly appreciated : )

Yer its been done before in the 2004 HSC it was one of the extended response questions, but even if you knew the content for the extended response (inside, out) I'm sure you wouldn't have any trouble for the short questions cause its a million times easier (I doubt it'd be in the short questions though).

Both. In the 2010 HSC paper, from memory, there was a question about how trade and investment are promoted in the case study country. That was a short answer. It has also been tested in the extended response questions, most frequently discussing economic development, quality of life and environmental consequences of globalisation.
