The drive there alone is 3 hours plus.

Looks like I won't be going anyway. Going to try to ring them again tomorrow. I'd say no spots are left anyway.

I'll be there at Sydney Uni for the Chem lectures and the English lectures. I bought a ticket to the Creative Writing one as well, but I've got Wests training in the eve, so there's 28 dollars well spent.

See ya's there...I've heard good things about these lectures....I haven't really, but this thread so needs a positive mood.

HAPPY!

I went to the EdAssist Summer School lectures this time last year and I thought they were quite good! It really depends on the subjects and the lecturers of course. I only did 2unit and 3unit english. I found that the notes they gave us were really helpful. The lectures were kinda boring coz u just read thru the notes (well sometimes), but other teachers asnwer questions and tell u things that they haven't put in the booklets. I got a lot of info from those days.

For some they're beneficial and others are going to tell u that they're full of crap. I guess it's jus trial and error (an expensive trial and error, i know). I found the Summer School ones to be better than the mid year ones, coz by then it was all repeated stuff. Going to the summer school now gets u in the mood and gets the ball rolling for the topics u haven't yet started in school.

Just came home from the first English lecture, and I found it to be really good. The lecturer was fantastic and the mood was very relaxed. There's a nice mix of people from everywhere too, so there are some really cool people to talk to. Was anybody else there today? What did you guys think of it?
