i've been trying to research the times of edgar allen poe. i need some info on the context of his works- namely "the murders in the rue morgue".
does anybody know a good link to anything substantial about Poe or has anyone got some notes on it?

You should look up early nineteenth century period and note what the european society was like at the time.
