wow.... *stares at clock on comp screen*. i didn't realise it was so late.....

oh wells. I was wondering, for my electives what exactly am i able to do? Can i do a language? Can i do anything?

im pretty sure elective means you can do anything you want. but your degree might have restrictions on what you can do ie whether your elective has to come from a specific faculty or whatever, it depends what you're doing. i know in arts you can do whatever the hell you want, i did.

oh. i thought it was the same for all unis and all degrees....

well, i'm probably going to do psychology next year, and most probably at newcastle uni, and i was wondering whether i could do practically any electives that i want (eg. Chinese). Or would the electives have to be related to the course.....

i dunno, i'm not very informed in these areas.

Look at the university handbook. The electives make up your major.

I'm doing a finance major so I chose a finance elective last semester and this semester.
