hey guys, i need help in converting values to electron volts...what is an electron volt? and how many joules per electron volt? etc

hmm google is my friend..i got 1 eV = 1.6 x 10^(-19) Joules...

is that right? so 1 eV is pretty much the same number of the charge of a proton, but its in joules..
