Hello all! i'm new to this so havent a clue how it works..but i have a general idea...just wondering if anyone is doing Elizabeth the first as their case study and what their teachers are teaching them...cos mine just goes around in bloody circles and blames it on us!

im doing Eli, and we're covering a lot of issues, however we mainly focus on historiographical or contentious ones, and look out how they have been represented and portrayed... eg:

-was Eli controlled by her advisors
-how did her gender affect her rule
-how did she achieve and maintain her power

etc

yeah Im doing Elizabeth, its boring, but Im sorta prewriting my answer so it don't really matter

we are mainly looking at two historians... haigh and bassnett...
and we are focusing on gender and identity as one of the things and the other is religion....
i hate elizabeth... i REALLY wanted to do the aztec culture... *sigh*
