I'm doing it.. pretty hard to find 'techniques' in this book except the main use of science fiction.. good read though.

what do you mean? what about the omniscient author, and the use of third person through outout. Not to mention the visual, kinetic, olefactory and aural imagery? Damn! i loved ender's game, my english teacher got me to read it, but we did Coleridge. Its a real psycological book, yuo could work around that and use the techniques to show how they convey emotion and inturn the imaginative journeys.

I'll warn you now: Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind all get very, very philosophical. The latter two are especially so and also quite long. If you're not fond of that type of novel, check out the "Bean Quartet" - an offshoot from Ender's Game that follows Bean. The first book, Ender's Shadow, has the same plot as Ender's Game, except it's told from Bean's perspective. It was very interesting and I really loved it, much more than the three sequels to the original. They get ponderous, but Shadow's quite excellent.
