How hard is engineering (aeronautical) without doing physics or maths extension 2?

well a lot of people don't do ext2 maths or physics and manage to do engineering just fine, but it will be made much easier because you'll have a headstart, and especially given the fast pace of uni it can be difficult to run through a year of content in a few months. tbh the ext 2 maths part is okay if you did ext 1, given what's covered in uni for engineers will be mainly extending ext 1 content further (e.g. further techniques in calculus, power series, 3d vectors etc) though obviously it will get tougher. the harder part is physics since you have almost no background knowledge, however if you put in the effort you'll be okay (and maybe it's a good idea to start learning a bit before uni starts). it's also worth noting that after a semester of uni, everyone has taken the same courses in math/physics so will be mostly on equal footing, so it's moreso catching up in that first semester that can be challenging
